How to Order

This section gives you the basic information you need to know to order one of my fine art landscape photographs, including details about printing and materials, sizes and prices, and framing options.

The Photographs
I print my color work digitally from high-resolution drum scans of my original transparencies, using PhotoShop as my digital darkroom. I do not manipulate or enhance my images. Instead, I use the digital process to give me more precise control over contrast in shadow and highlight areas (without the extensive masking needed printing traditionally with Ilfochrome materials), saturation, and color balance so that my prints more faithfully reflect the exquisite light and detail in my original transparencies. The digital process also allows me to use a Lightjet digital film recorder to print on new archival photographic papers, such as Fuji Crystal Archive (60+ years) and polyester material with optional archival laminates to push print longevity beyond 150 years. My Lightjet prints are extremely consistent in contrast and color from print to print and size to size.

I print my black and white images digitally using Epson Ultrachrome archival inks on archival paper or as a Lightjet print, again using PhotoShop as the digital darkroom. By special request and for a significant additional fee, I will make silver gelatin prints, selenium-toned, on Ilford MGIV fiber paper.

I limit the editions of my photographs to 250 prints or less, inclusive of all sizes other than 11x14 and 10x15 matted. These two sizes form an unnumbered "Open" edition of an image that remains open only until the limited edition of that image has sold out.

Sizes and Prices
Please call or email regarding sizes and prices. I print to order based on your specific requirements.

Matting and Framing
I double mat my limited edition color photographs with a warm white, acid-free, museum-quality Crescent rag mat. I single mat the open edition prints with the same type of mat. I mat every black & white print with a single bright white, acid-free museum-quality Crescent rag mat. I use museum-quality Neilsen graphite (flat gray) metal frames for color photographs and the same Neilsen frames in flat black for black & white photographs.

Note: I ship all framed photographs with Plexiglas to avoid breakage. Please specify antiglare or clear plexiglass. You may order a photograph framed without glass if you plan to use a conservation quality glass or antireflective glass instead of Plexiglas. Ask about a clear archival laminate to replace glass or plexiglass if you will be exhibiting your photograph in an area where reflection is a problem (such as facing a window) and you don't want nonglare plexiglass.

Payment Methods
You may place an order by phone with a credit card (Mastercard or Visa) or by mailing a check or money order. If placing your order through the mail, please call or email first so that I may confirm your order and give you an accurate price with shipping and sales tax (for any order shipped to a Florida address).

Completing Your Order
I generally fill orders within two to six weeks, although I cannot always guarantee delivery dates due to the time and care I give to printing and framing each photograph. I will try to accommodate rush orders.
